On May 23, Archbishop Michael Byrnes announced the lifting of the general dispensation from attending Mass and Archdiocese resumes Sunday Mass obligations. Expemptions from the particular dispensation are the following:
Please observe the following protocols:
All entering the Cathedral-Basilica are required to wear masks, and they must be kept on in place for the entire duration of mass, except for when receiving Holy Communion.
You are encouraged to use the hand sanitizers which will be placed at the entrances and exits of the church.
Our collection will resume as usual during the preparation of the gifts or the offertory. At this time, there is no Offertory Procession.
Distribution of Holy Communion will take place during its regular prescribed time within the liturgy, with the faithful lining up and observing proper distancing from each other. If our Ministers of Hospitality are present, please follow their instructions.
Holy Communion may be received by tongue or by hand, but please remove any gloves if receiving by hand.
Those seated in the church conference room and those on the balcony are asked to remain and a minister will come to give you Holy Communion.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. God Bless.
