Dear Brothers & Sisters,
I pray that this message finds you well and in the grace of God. With hearts full of praise and thanksgiving, I warmly invite you to join us in our nightly Novena and Masses in honor of our beloved Patroness, Santa Marian Kamalen, from December 1st to December 9th. Since December 8th falls on a Sunday this year, the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, along with our Festal Celebration in honor of Santa Marian Kamalen, will be observed on Monday, December 9th, culminating with our traditional Procession here in Hagatna.
As we come together to honor Santa Marian Kamalen, let us take this time to reflect on the many challenges our people have faced throughout history-whether it be the hardships of war, the devastations of typhoons and earthquakes, or the trials of the recent pandemic.
Through it all, we have witnessed how our Blessed Mother has drawn us closer to God,
offering her comfort and guidance. In each of these moments, we see the deep love Our Lady has for her people and the unwavering devotion we have for her. She continues to point us to her Son, Jesus Christ, reminding us of His enduring presence and promise never to abandon us. Because of this, we have every reason to be joyful and to celebrate this special feast day with gratitude and hope.
May our Blessed Mother, Santa Marian Kamalen, intercede for us and lead us ever closer to her Son.
Yours in Christ,
Msgr. James L.G. Benavente
